Santa’s Parade

Posted on: December 26, 2009

Rememer how I said how much I love living in the ‘burbs?! Well, this is just another example of how awesome our town is!

It was Christmas Eve at 6:30pm and we were enjoying a quiet family dinner before going out to visit friends when we heard loud sirens and horns blaring through the neighborhhood. No, we weren’t being robbed and the house wasn’t on fire although I will admit we did all run to the front window to see what the heck was going on! There was a Santa parade coming down our street!!! A whole parade filled w/ floats, fire trucks, police cars, children throwing candy, and then none other than Santa Claus himself and all of his reindeer.

The look of excitement on Isabella’s face was priceless as she was screaming and waving to Santa! We had no idea the town did this parade, but it was such an awesome surprise.

Later on that evening at our friends’ house the parade had finally made its way over to their neighborhood so again Isabella saw Santa and his reindeer. I can’t even begin to tell you how excited she was again this time. It was the best!
