Branding my Blog?

Posted on: January 13, 2010

Today the world is all about branding and marketing. And its not just big corporations who do this — everyone from smaller businesses to even blogs, such as Mom Blogs. And don’t get me wrong, I totally think this is awesome! I mean, I love reading all of the various mom blogs and it makes life so much easier when they are focused on one particular subject such as coupon savings or just their families.

But my problem / question to myself is this — should I brand myself too? And if so then what would I be? I mean, there are some mom bloggers who only focus on product reviews or there are some who dedicate their whole site to savings or even those who only blog about their family life — all of these blogs I LOVE to read!

But how do I decide which subject matter to only blog about? I love to blog about anything and everything that comes to my mind. How can I focus on just one thing? Actually, now that I am reading my own words, maybe I should make my blog be about total confusion and questioning my inner self as that seems to be all I am doing lately?! Just kidding!ย  ๐Ÿ™‚

I have so many interests and passions that its hard to bottle them all up and place them in a neatly wrapped package called Minnie Mama’s Blog. Instead I guessย I am more like a crumpled up gift bag with all sorts of goodies spilling out everywhere!

Aahh, I guess for now I will just continue to blog about everything and nothing that happens in my world.ย  ๐Ÿ™‚

I went to a conference and they recommended you look at the categories you uses most often…hope that helps!

I am starting to focus on some more Nashville events/happenings. I used to keep my location fairly anonymous but now most people know I am in Nashville…

Good luck. I like to blog about many different things, too. ๐Ÿ™‚
