Downtown Disney

Posted on: March 8, 2010

Typically our first day in Florida we never do a park as it’s just too much for all of us. We prefer to check into our hotel, take a nap, freshen up, and enjoy dinner at Downtown Disney. Our favorite place there is Planet Hollywood as the atmosphere is awesome, especially if you have little ones — they can be loud there and no one frowns as the whole place is loud & jam’n w/ music!  🙂

My in-laws live in Florida so we made plans to meet them at Downtown Disney for dinner which was super fun! We enjoyed a delicious dinner and then walked around Downtown Disney visiting all of the shops. Isabella had a total blast as she loves to see her grandparents, aunts, and uncles! And she’s just like her Mama — she loves to shop!

We went into tons of stores and Isabella had a wicked fun time trying on silly hats and hugging every stuffed animal she could find.

And she even visited the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where she was sprinkled w/ magic Pixie dust. Unfortunately, you have to be three to participate, but they were gracious enough to still give my little princess the magic Pixie dust. Oh yes, this Pixie dust is so magic that it never disappears! One week and numerous baths later and we still can’t get the sparkles out of her hair!

Isabella was totally enchanted with all of the Disney character statues and she hugged them all! She also LOVED the giant Stitch on top of the toy store — it spit water at people walking by!

This really was a perfect way to kick-start our vacation as it got us all in the Disney mood w/o spending a penny or wasting a day of our passes. We had an awesome evening!
