It seems like we’re always rushing around here. Rushing to get to daycare. Rushing to get to work. Rushing home to make dinner. Rushing to do errands. Rushing, rushing, rushing…you get the point.
But then that magical Sunday morning comes and our world slows down. Everything is done and there is no where to be. Nothing that needs to be done. We can just relax and enjoy our special moments together as time seems to stand still. We sit in Isabella’s room and play dolls for what’s supposed to be just a few minutes, but almost always turns into a few hours.
Sometimes we go outside and eat breakfast in the Princess Isabella’s “castle” (the treehouse part of her swingset) or we’ll have a tea party on her bedroom floor. Every now and then, I might get a little crazy and make a big hot breakfast, but let’s be honest — that doesn’t happen very often. No matter what we do though, our Sunday morning rituals always include relaxing, playing, and staying in our PJ’s for as long as possible.
Does your family have any fun or silly weekend traditions?
